TIPS
Practical tips on diet, exercise, and prevention of stroke and heart disease will be delivered to you by text 3-5 times a week. The tips will focus on small, doable changes that can add up to BIG improvements in your overall health. They will be customized based on your personal risk factors for stroke and heart disease.
REMINDERS
With busy lives, it is easy to get sidetracked and forget to take medicine or monitor your health. BEATStroke gives you the ability to schedule customized text message reminders to take medication, exercise, monitor blood pressure, or check blood sugars.
MOTIVATION
If you could use a little extra encouragement, BEATStroke will send you general motivational messages or a personal motivational message you design yourself. To make getting healthy more fun, there will be monthly BEATStroke contests that can qualify you to win prizes.
This 6 month program is available for FREE to people from
participating clinics and community programs.

We are enrolling people from participating clinics and community programs in this free, 6 month program. To be eligible, you must be a stroke survivor or at high risk of stroke, have a phone that can accept text messages and a plan that allows unlimited incoming text messages, and receive care at a participating clinic or community program.
